REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) and Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop intra-state transmission projects in Bihar through the tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) mode.
The partnership aims to strengthen Bihar’s power transmission network to support rising electricity demand and industrial growth. The focus will be on grid modernisation, reduction in transmission losses and improvement in power reliability. The projects will be awarded through a transparent bidding process to encourage competition, private investment and faster execution of infrastructure works. The initiative is expected to support Bihar’s industrial development goals for 2025–30.
