MNRE rules out blanket extension of ALMM List-II deadline beyond June 1, 2026

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified that there will be no blanket extension of the approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) List-II requirement for solar photovoltaic cells beyond June 1, 2026.

However, MNRE has allowed limited relaxations on a case-by-case basis to protect investments already made. This will apply to projects where modules are installed but not commissioned, or where significant project development steps have already been completed. Developers seeking time extension beyond may submit their claims through a dedicated portal developed by the National Institute of Solar Energy. Such claims are to be submitted on or before June 30, 2026. An expert committee will review each case based on documentary evidence.
