Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has commenced commercial operations of its 2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) Bhojudih coal washery.
The facility is a three-product medium coking coal washery with a raw coal washing capacity of 2 MTPA. It has been developed under the build, operate and maintain model and is equipped with technologies such as heavy media cyclones, spiral concentrators and froth flotation systems for coking coal beneficiation. The washery will produce washed coking coal for supply to the steel sector.
