Tata Power Company Limited and Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) have signed an MoU to establish a skill development ecosystem to support the development of 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity in Bhutan. The training programmes will be delivered through the Tata Power Skill Development Institute. Tata Power will provide technical expertise, training infrastructure, courseware and accreditation support, while DGPC will facilitate mobilisation and deployment of trainees. The proposed skill development initiatives will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will focus on safety induction and workforce readiness. The second phase will cover technical training related to construction activities, material handling and earthmoving equipment operations. The third phase will focus on specialised training for long-term operations and maintenance of clean energy assets.
