UAE’s DEWA announces AED8.5 billion grid projects to be completed by 2028

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the UAE’s state-owned utility responsible for electricity and water services in Dubai, has announced that electricity transmission network projects worth more than AED8.5 billion are currently under construction and are scheduled for completion by 2028. The projects include the construction of 52 new 132 kV substations, 223 km of 132 kV underground transmission cables, two 400 kV substations, and 130 km of 400 kV OHTL.
