Masdar – the UAE’s state-owned renewable energy company, and Sungrow – a Chinese PV inverter and energy storage system (ESS) provider, have signed an agreement for the supply of BESS and PV inverter solutions for Abu Dhabi’s round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project. The RTC project, being developed by Masdar in partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), combines 5.2 GW of solar PV capacity with a 19 GWh BESS installation to deliver baseload renewable energy.
