MKC Green Energy Limited has received a letter of award from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for the development of a 125 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Uttar Pradesh.
The project forms part of UPPCL’s larger programme to procure 375 MW/1,500 MWh of battery energy storage capacity through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
