Oman’s Nama PWP signs PPA for 2.7 GW RTC clean energy with O-Green

Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (Nama PWP), the sole procurer of power and water capacity in Oman, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with O Green for the development of a 2.7 GW continuous renewable energy project integrating solar photovoltaic, wind power, and battery energy storage system in the regions of Mahout and Duqm.

The project is considered one of the world’s largest hybrid round the clock renewable energy projects, and has been designed to provide stable and reliable electricity supply. The project is expected to provide nearly 770 MW of firm supply capacity to Oman’s electricity grid.
