REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred Jalna Power Transmission Limited, the project special purpose vehicle (SPV) for an intra-state transmission system project in Maharashtra, to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) through the tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The project is scheduled for implementation over 24 months at an estimated cost of Rs 9.12 billion. It broadly comprises the establishment of a 400/132 kV substation at Jalna. The project also includes about 135 km of 132 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Jalna (New) with Jalna Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, Partur, and Ghansawangi and Utwad, along with associated works.
