The People’s Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, and SGCC, have signed a long-term cooperation agreement to advance the ±800 kV Kubuqi (Inner Mongolia)–Jiangsu ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission project, a major cross-regional power transmission scheme included in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) for power development.
The agreement is expected to support the early approval of the transmission corridor and facilitate the
accelerated development of the project’s associated power generation base.
