Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), South Korea’s state-owned electric utility, has completed the 154 kV network connecting Muan and Sinan counties in South Jeolla province, strengthening the region’s ability to transmit renewable energy to major demand centres.
The newly completed transmission network spans 52 km linking Unnam, Sinan and Eupdong regions. Developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Power Exchange, the project is expected to facilitate the grid connection of approximately 190 MW of renewable energy capacity currently awaiting access to the network.
