Mulilo, a South African renewable energy developer and independent power producer, has achieved financial close for the 77 MW/308 MWh Hartebeesfontein battery energy storage system (BESS) project in North West province under South Africa’s Battery Energy Storage Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme. The project is located near Klerksdorp in the city of Matlosana.
