State Grid Fujian Electric Power, a subsidiary of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), has commissioned the 500 kV Fujian Minhou (Maotian) transmission and transformation project in Fuzhou, Fujian province.
The project is one of SGCC’s key projects for ensuring reliable electricity supply during the summer peak demand period, and is the first 500 kV project commissioned in Fujian Province during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30). The project includes eight new transmission towers and approximately 2 km of transmission lines. The substation has been equipped with one 1,000 MVA main transformer, four 500 kV outgoing transmission lines, and eight 220 kV outgoing lines.
