The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) and the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), under the Ministry of Education, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote clean energy adoption in public institutions.
Under the MoU, SECI will facilitate the installation of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants across DoSEL buildings nationwide under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. The initiative is aimed at supporting India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable public infrastructure.
