LS Cable & System, a South Korean cable manufacturer, has secured a KRW140 billion contract from the Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore’s power and gas regulator, to supply 400 kV and 230 kV ultra-high voltage (UHV) cables for the expansion of the city state’s transmission network.
Separately, Iljin Electric, a South Korean manufacturer of power equipment and transmission cables, has won a KRW62.1 billion contract to supply UHV cables for a data centre project in Malaysia.
