Suzlon Energy has secured its first 105 MW order for the S175 (5 MW) wind turbine from Sunsure Energy. The order marks the commercial debut of the S175.
Under the order, Suzlon will supply, erect, commission and maintain 21 S175 wind turbine generators for a project in Bijapur, Karnataka. The turbine features a 175-metre rotor and a 160-metre hybrid lattice tower. It is designed to harness stronger and more stable wind regimes, enabling higher energy generation and improved project economics. With this order, Suzlon’s cumulative orders from Sunsure Energy have reached 400.8 MW.
