Electricité du Cambodge (EDC), Cambodia’s state-owned power utility, has secured a USD63.44 million financing package from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the deployment of a utility-scale BESS aimed at strengthening grid stability, enhancing energy security, and renewable energy integration. The project involves the construction of a 250 MW/500 MWh BESS at the Takeo substation in southern Cambodia.
