NTPC Mining Limited (NML) and Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Under the agreement, CMPDIL will provide consultancy and technical services for NML’s coal and mineral mining projects.
CMPDIL will provide technical training and capacity building for both underground and opencast mining operations, besides supporting the adoption of advanced mining technologies. It will also assist NML in obtaining Accredited Prospecting Agency recognition and carrying out Mineral Prospecting Permission Assessment assignments. In addition, the two companies will collaborate in areas such as coal gasification, geological and geophysical investigations, GIS surveys, infrastructure engineering and environmental monitoring.
