NHPC Limited has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) for the supply of power from its 800 MW Parbati-II Power Station in Himachal Pradesh. The agreement provides for power supply for 40 years from the commercial operation date (COD) of the project.
Separately, NHPC has signed two PPAs with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the supply of power from the 1,856 MW Sawalkot Hydro Electric Project in Jammu and Kashmir and the 1,720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. Both agreements provide for power supply for 40 years from the COD of the respective projects.
