NHPC Limited’s 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Plant at Bikaner, Rajasthan, has been inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The project has been developed using around 775,000 domestically manufactured solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules.
The plant is expected to generate about 750 million units of clean electricity annually and offset nearly 640,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
