Southern Power Grid Ultra-High Voltage Company, a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid (CSG), has commissioned the domestically developed and controllable passive wireless quantum current sensor for a ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) system at the Xinsong substation of the Xindong DC project in China. The sensor has entered the on-site verification stage, marking a significant step in applying quantum precision measurement technology to UHV transmission equipment. It was jointly developed by CSG Ultra-High Voltage Company, CSG Digital Research Institute, the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Xi’an High Voltage Switchgear.
