TotalEnergies, a France-based multi-energy company, together with South African independent power producer Hydra Storage Holding and investment holding company Reatile Renewables, has inaugurated the 216 MW Hydra solar PV project co-located with a 500 MWh BESS in South Africa.
Located in the Northern Cape province, the hybrid facility is claimed to be the largest of its kind in Africa.
