ENGIE has achieved financial closure for its 250 MW Khaba Solar Project in Barmer, Rajasthan, being developed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Khaba Renewable Energy Private Limited. The project has secured financing from a consortium of leading global financial institutions.
The financial closure enables the project to move into the next phase of development. Construction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026. Once commissioned, the solar project is expected to generate around 650 GWh of clean electricity annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 180 kilotonnes each year.
