The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), Egypt’s state-owned transmission system operator, has awarded four turnkey contracts to support wind power evacuation from the Gulf of Suez region and strengthen the country’s national electricity grid.
The contracts comprise three 500 kV overhead transmission line (OHTL) packages awarded to Elsewedy Electric Trading and Distribution Company, and one 500 kV transmission line package awarded to a consortium of Intelligent Globe Construction (IGC) Egypt and IGC UAE.
