State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), China’s state-owned transmission system operator, has held a preliminary design review meeting for the ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission project linking south-eastern Tibet with the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
The meeting heard reports from the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, and relevant design and construction units, and reviewed the project’s preliminary design deliverables.
