REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs) for inter-state transmission projects to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited (TSETPL) under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.
Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited has been acquired by POWERGRID for about Rs 128.58 million to implement the ‘Augmentation at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS and Kanpur (PG)” project. The project entails augmentation of the 400/220 kV Bhadla-III Pooling Station, 765/400 kV Ramgarh Pooling Station, and 765/400 kV Kanpur Pooling Station, along with associated works. Meanwhile, Shongtong Power Transmission Limited has been acquired by TSETPL for about Rs 204.06 million to implement the ‘Transmission System for evacuation of power from Shongtong Karcham HEP (450 MW) and Tidong HEP (150 MW)”. The scope includes construction of the 400/220 kV Jhangi GIS Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh, a 50 km 400 kV Jhangi PS–Wangtoo double-circuit line, a 175 km 400 kV Panchkula–Wangtoo line, and associated works.
