Vietnam Electricity National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), a subsidiary of state utility Vietnam Electricity (EVN), has been approved as the investor for the 500 kV Bac Lieu LNG–Thot Not transmission line project by the People’s Committee of Ca Mau province, approving the project’s investment policy.
The project involves the construction of a new 500 kV transmission line extending approximately 135.6 km from the 500 kV switchyard of the proposed Bac Lieu LNG Power Plant in Vinh Hau commune, Ca Mau province, to the planned Thot Not 500 kV substation in Thuan Hung ward, Can Tho city. Of the total route length, around 52.2 km will pass through Ca Mau province and 83.4 km through Can Tho city.
