AirTrunk has secured USD2.325 billion (RM9.5 billion) in green financing under its Green Financing Framework to support the development of its JHB2 hyperscale data centre campus in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The transaction is the largest green project financing for a single data centre in Malaysia and AirTrunk’s largest single-asset financing to date. The funding will support the expansion of digital infrastructure to meet growing demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence services while promoting sustainable infrastructure development.
The JHB2 facility is being designed to achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness of 1.37 and will incorporate advanced water-efficient cooling technologies to reduce energy and water consumption. Margin savings
