RECPDCL transfers Ryapte Power Transmission SPV to Tata Power

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred Ryapte Power Transmission Limited, the special purpose vehicle (SPV) for an intra-state transmission project in Karnataka, to Tata Power Company Limited under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.

The project is termed as “Evacuation scheme for 2,000 MW solar park at Ryapte village, Tumkur district.” It is estimated to cost around Rs 32 billion and is scheduled for commissioning within 30 months from the date of SPV transfer. The scope includes construction of the 400/220 kV Ryapte AIS substation, the 400/220 kV Doddathaggalli GIS substation, associated 400 kV and 220 kV transmission lines, and a 220 kV underground cable connecting the Doddathaggalli GIS substation with the existing substations at Ekarajapura, Hosakote and Sarjapura. The transmission system will have 4,000 MVA of transformation capacity and a 250 km transmission network.
