The People’s Committee of An Giang province has requested the Vietnamese government to allocate approximately VND7 trillion for the construction of a 110 kV transmission line to supply electricity to the Tho Chau special economic zone (SEZ).
According to the proposal, the provincial government has asked the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to submit a proposal to the competent authorities for capital allocation to EVN, the state-owned power utility, to implement the project. The project involves the construction of an approximately 108-km submarine transmission line extending the national grid from Phu Quoc island to Tho Chau.
