PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) has transferred two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs) for inter-state transmission projects to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Apraava Energy Private Limited, under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.
Ananthpuram Transmission Limited has been transferred to Apraava Energy for the development of “Transmission System for Integration of Ananthpuram-111 PS REZ Phase-I (3GW).” The scope of work involves the establishment of approximately 250 ckm of 765 kV transmission lines and a 4,500 MVA (3×1,500 MVA) 765 kV pooling station, along with the installation of a ±300 MVAR static synchronous compensator. The project is expected to facilitate the integration and evacuation of around 3 GW of renewable energy from the Ananthapur region. Meanwhile, Krishnagiri REZ Transmission Limited has been transferred to POWERGRID for the development of “Transmission System for integration of Krishnagiri REZ Phase-I.” The project includes the establishment of two new 765/400 kV substations in Andhra Pradesh. It also involves the construction of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, along with associated bay works.
