Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has commissioned the project, namely “Transmission System for evacuation of Power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part-H”. The transmission system became commercially operational on July 4, 2026, with the notification for commercial operation received on August 3, 2026.
The project was originally entrusted to POWERGRID Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited, then a wholly owned subsidiary of POWERGRID. The special purpose vehicle was subsequently amalgamated with POWERGRID Vataman Transmission Limited with effect from March 1, 2026, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
