Chinese SGCC’s Zhejiang unit outlines CNY300 billion power grid plan

State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company, a subsidiary of SGCC, plans to invest CNY300 billion in power grid construction during China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period to strengthen transmission and distribution infrastructure and support the province’s clean energy transition.

The investment programme includes CNY82.7 billion for ultra-high voltage (UHV) projects, which will advance Zhejiang’s UHV transmission network towards a “one-ring, five-direct” structure.
