Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC), in partnership with Pampanga 1 Electric Cooperative (PELCO I), has commenced construction of a 41 MWp embedded solar power project in Magalang, Pampanga, Philippines.
The project will feature a 53 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), making it the country’s first embedded solar facility integrated with a renewable energy and energy storage system. The project is expected to enhance grid reliability, improve the integration of renewable energy and support the region’s growing electricity demand.
