Meridian Energy has obtained the final major resource consent required for the repowering of its 172 MW Te Rere Hau Wind Farm in Manawatū, New Zealand.
The approval, granted by the Palmerston North City Council, permits the relocation of an Airways communication facility, a key requirement for the project. The company is awaiting additional approvals for minor road upgrades before commencing the repowering works, which are aimed at improving the wind farm’s efficiency and generation capacity.
