Azerenerji Azerbaijan’s Joint Stock vertically Company (JSC), integrated energy company, has commissioned the 220/110/10 kV Yeni Sangachal substation to integrate the 240 MW Shafag solar power plant, under construction in the Jabrayil district, into the national electricity grid and supply renewable electricity to British Petroleum’s (bp) Sangachal terminal.
The Yeni Sangachal substation is connected to the national grid through four new 220 kVtransmission lines spanning a combined 111 km, receiving power from the 785 MW Janub and 385 MW Gobu power plants, and the 500 kV Absheron substation.
