JSW Energy achieves financial closure for 210 MW hybrid renewable project

JSW Energy has achieved financial close for its 210 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Maharashtra. The transaction marks the company’s first external commercial borrowing project finance facility. It is also the first project finance transaction between Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and JSW Group’s renewable energy platform.

SMBC acted as the Mandated Lead Arranger, Underwriter and Bookrunner, Sole Structuring Bank, Green Loan Coordinator, Sole Letter of Credit and Hedging Bank, and Account Bank. The bank supported the transaction across financing, structuring and risk management.
