Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to procure 50 MW of solar power along with battery energy storage system (BESS) for Chandigarh.
The agreement has been signed for 25 years under SECI’s Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Tranche XX. The arrangement will enable Chandigarh to receive its first solar power through an ISTS-connected project.
