Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 220 MW of solar power coupled with a 110 MW/440 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The agreement has been signed for a period of 25 years. Under the agreement, BEST will procure renewable power at a tariff of Rs 2.87 per unit.
