State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has fully connected the 1,000 kV Aba–Chengdu East ultra-high voltage alternating current (UHVAC) transmission project, after the final section of the transmission line was pulled and deployed in Li county, Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, Sichuan province, on August 26, 2026.
The project, part of the Sichuan–Chongqing UHVAC transmission programme, involves a 734.8-km, 1,000 kV transmission line linking the 1,000 kV Aba and Chengdu East UHV substations.
