National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the private concessionaire for the Philippines’ transmission network, has secured extensions from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for two transmission projects worth a combined PHP8.24 billion.
The ERC extended the completion deadline for the PHP6.34 billion, 230 kV Porac substation project, which is intended to address anticipated load growth in Pampanga. The project, originally scheduled for completion by November 18, 2026, has been delayed by right of-way issues and regulatory approval processes. The new completion deadline is June 30, 2027.
