Blueleaf Energy and Universal Peak Sdn Bhd have achieved financial close with United Overseas Bank for a utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) project in Malaysia.
The project will have an installed capacity of 100 MW/400 MWh. Project construction will commence under a build, own, and operate model. Universal Peak will support the project as a turnkey provider of electrical infrastructure solutions. The project is expected to be commissioned in mid-2027.
