Siemens Energy India Limited has commissioned its first 145 kV SF₆-free circuit breaker in India for the Goa Electricity Department. The commissioning marks the deployment of Siemens Energy’s Blue high-voltage technology in the country.
The circuit breaker uses clean air insulation and vacuum switching technology, eliminating the use of SF₆ and other fluorinated greenhouse gases. The technology is designed to support more sustainable high-voltage grid infrastructure.
