VRB Energy, a clean technology company, has announced a framework agreement for a 100 MW solar and 100 MW/500 MWh vanadium flow battery integrated power project at Xiangyang, Hubei Province, China. …
The framework agreement was signed between VRB Energy and the municipal government of Xiangyang, local project partner Hubei Pingfan New Energy and Xiangyang High-Tech State-Owned Capital Investment and Operation Group (GXGT), earlier this month. This agreement contains provisions for constructing the first 50 MW per annum of a new 1,000 MW per annum VRB-ESS Gigafactory manufacturing facility. It also includes construction of a vanadium flow battery energy research and development institute.
