India, UK agree upon investments worth USD1.2 billion for Indian clean energy segment

The Indian and British governments have agreed for a USD 1.2 billion package of public and private investment in renewable energy.

The package includes a USD 1 billion investment from CDC, the UK’s development finance institution, joint investments by both governments to support companies working on innovative green tech solutions, and USD 200 million private and multilateral investment into the joint Green Growth Equity Fund which invests in Indian renewable energy.
