Norway’s state-owned Statkraft has commissioned its first large-scale 76 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu
The Nellai solar park is located at Ettanakulam village in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, and has been set up on around 200 acres of land.The Nellai solar park has been developed under the group captive-model, and is expected to produce about 120 GWh of green energy every year.The construction was done by German Belectric Photovoltaic India Private Limited that will also continue to look after the operations and maintenance services for the coming three years of the solar plant’s operation.The plant will help industries in Tamil Nadu meet their renewable energy requirements at an affordable price.
