The Powergrid has acquired Ramgarh II Transmission Limited (RIITL), the project special purpose vehicle to establish transmission system for “Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20GW) under Phase-III Part C1”. The project has been secured via tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB), on build, own, operate and transfer basis from the bid process coordinator REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The project comprises establishment of a new 765/400 kV substation along with static synchronous compensator at Ramgarh, 765 kV D/C transmission line and associated bays extension works at other existing substation in the state of Rajasthan
