AmpIn to set over 600 MW renewable project in eastern India

AmpIn Energy Transition Limited has announced an investment of Rs 31 billion in India’s eastern region (particularly Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and other north-eastern states).

The funds will be used to establish integrated solar cell and module manufacturing facilities as well as renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of at least 600 MW. The company holds a solar open access portfolio of approximately 200 MWp in the region. Additionally, it has secured a 250 MWp wind-solar hybrid project power purchase agreement with the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation for a 250 MWp wind-solar hybrid project. Furthermore, the company has undertaken a behind the meter industrial solar project, with a capacity of 10.5 MW, catering to an industrial customer. Additionally, utilising its varied range of assets, AmpIn is enabling customers to achieve savings in the range of 25 per cent to 40 per cent on their energy expenses while also significantly reducing their carbon footprint.
