LONGi launches new solar module plant in Selangor, Malaysia

LONGi Green Energy Technology Company Limited (LONGi) has launched the first phase of its Serendah Module plant in Malaysia. Located in Serendah, Selangor, on Malaysia’s west coast, this facility is an integral part of LONGi’s manufacturing strategy in the country. The 140-acre module factory, with an investment of MYR 1.8 billion (approximately RMB 2.8 billion), represents the company’s inaugural manufacturing pre­sence in West Malaysia. The facility boasts cutting-edge technology and equipment from the contemporary photovoltaic sector. It’s slated for a two-phase construction, with a combined capacity of 8.8 GW (2.8 GW in the first phase and 6 GW in the second). With the first phase now operational, the second phase has already been initiated.
