Liberty Solar Energy Corporation (LSEC), a subsidiary of Alternergy Holdings Corporation, has secured an operating contract from the Department of Energy (DOE) for the Apulid Solar Project in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines.
The contract grants LSEC exclusive rights to explore, develop, and operate solar energy resources within the 144-hectare project. The project aims to supply clean power to the grid and sustain aquaculture farm production. The project will not pursue the Green Energy Auction 2 (GEA 2) program as Alternergy is exploring markets aligning with the government’s renewable energy targets.
